The titles of Bob's books pretty much gives the gist of the majority of what the content is about. People with a dry sense of humour will undoubtably get the most enjoyment from these books. Bob Magor left school at 15 years of age and went shearing, and then spent about 25 years working his sheep and cattle farm in South Australia. At the age of "about 40" he was dairy farming when his sons told him what he could do with his dairy cows and he found that was physically impossible. They went off to other careers and left Bob staring up the wrong end of 120 cows twice a day. He then had a mid-life crisis and began putting his rural experience to use by writing bush verse. He has now written the eight books presented here.
The first of his work was released at the Tamworth Country Music festivals of the early 1990s where he found himself part of the resurgence of bush poetry in Australia and has gone from strength to strength. Winner of a swag of awards around Australia for his written and recorded work he has established himself in the top group of modern bush poets.
